Special Note
This is NOT Mystery Anime Theater 3000 -- note the lack of a "3000" in the name. The now discontinued Mystery Anime Theater 3000 was performed at the Otakon anime convention from 1997 to 2003 by folks who were one-time members of the Penn State Monty Python Society. Both shows do have the anime movie, Lensman, in common, but they do not have the same people in common. They are two different things. One other distinguishing characterstic is that MAT (not MAT3K) is now a pre-produced video shown at cons, rather than a live show, which it was for its first two cons. The early, live performances have been re-performed in front of a camera, taped, and are now shown at cons as a video, often in a block of other MAT videos.
